Scan Scout is an easy-to-use barcode scanning app for Android and Zebra devices (with DataWedge support), designed to make scanning simple, fast, and enjoyable.
The app was inspired by a personal story: it was created for a friend with Down syndrome who loves scanning products, for example at self-checkout stations. Scan Scout brings this experience to everyone in a playful and motivating way—while still collecting useful, real-world data.
The system highlights codes that have never been scanned before within the app, allowing users to easily recognize “new discoveries” and making each scan more engaging.
